We obviously do our best to bring our children up with compassion and respect but a few things that you spoke about during the workshop really stuck with me:
1) the whole thing about observing your child and what they're into really makes so much sense. I am a 100% guilty of buying things that I think they should play with as opposed to things that they would be inclined to play with because of their interests.
2) also independence with limits. I absolutely love that. We try to practice that in our home but sometimes out of convenience, we loose track of the limit and end up restricting them more than we should and the workshop just reminded me to not loose focus of our limits and as long as they are within that, we should just let them be and let them'

I really enjoyed the interactive nature of Gina's presentation, with the reflective questions, the examples, and the indoor set-up, too.
I learnt so much, and the view of the child in Montessori really resonated with me. My heart is full 😌

I was telling my sister that if anyone else was doing this outside of nbi that afternoon would have cost in the hundreds for the amount of time and resources you've shared and put into it!
Having someone lay it all out really makes me see my kids in a different light. In our house we have always had respect for our kids and raising confidently curious Littles at the core of how we interact with them and just from those two I'm seeing how we are so naturally Montessori inclined. This workshop has really helped give me a lot of perspective on Parenting and on what is actually possible to do.
Ahhhhh, I'm so happy! I'm just here waiting for Macharia so that I can debrief him and onboard him... Me who is so not an evening person (My head is always lights out autopilot by 730pm)... that's how excited I am by what I've learnt today 🙈
